Quest-room control system
A PyQt5 desktop app that runs a quest room and talks to the physical hardware. It automates lights, music, doors, magnets, sensors, Arduino and other devices by the scenario, with manual override for the operator.

I built a hardware-software system for a quest room. The core is a Python/PyQt5 desktop app that acts as the control desk for every electronic device and game event.
The room has sensors, controllers and actuators. I wired them together and programmed the quest so events fire automatically in the right order.
Depending on what players do, the system can:
read sensor signals;
talk to Arduino;
control LED lighting;
start and switch music;
control electromagnetic locks;
open doors when conditions are met;
control Jerome devices;
trigger game mechanisms;
run scenario stages in sequence;
react to players and hardware signals;
sync several events at once.
There is also full manual control in the UI. An operator can switch lights, start music, control doors, magnets and other devices. That helps during the game, in odd situations, or when the scenario needs a human override.
The app is not just an interface — it is the automation hub that binds hardware to the game script.
Stack: Python, PyQt5, Arduino, LEDs, sensors, electromagnetic locks, Jerome, audio and external devices.
Result:
A fully automated quest-room system where player actions trigger programmed events — from lights and music to doors and mechanisms — with complete operator control.
