How much does an SSL certificate cost?
Setup is 1,000 ₽. Let’s Encrypt itself is free; you pay for server configuration. A paid certificate from a CA, if needed, is billed separately.
Why do I need SSL?
Without HTTPS the browser says “not secure”, some forms and payments fail, and search engines treat the site worse. With a certificate the connection is encrypted and the lock appears.
Does the certificate need renewal?
Let’s Encrypt renews automatically if it is set up. If you take administration, I watch it as part of the 6,000 ₽ monthly plan.
